Can I use subwoofer amp as midrange amp?
I have a Kenwood KAC-7201 2-channel amplifier that I used to power my 12" sub.
Now the amp in my headunit blew and I want to hook it up to a pair of 6.5" mid range.
Is it ok to do this? It's output is 150W rms and my speakers has a maximum rating of 75W.
I'm thinking that as long as I keep the music low, I wouldn't blow them. Right?

Lets see, twice what the speakers are rated for, I am a firm believer that you are better off being overpowered then underpowered, but a little over powered, not twice as much.
You will have to keep the gain on the amp very low, and be careful.

Make sure you tune it correctly. Set the head unit half way. Then set the gain on the amp till it distorts then back off a little. You should be fine there.
