would a throttle body off an 88 prelude b20 fit my 93 d16z6 intake manifold?

also would the z6 manifold bolt up to my d16a6 head or is there porting that needs to be done?

 

I dont believe that the throttle body will work due to it being from the prelude b-series. The b series motors that came int he preludes were the only b series motor that were not compatible with other b series motors therefor i do not believe that it will fit. I know for sure that an LS throttle body will not fit on a stock si motor so im pretty sure it will not work for you.

 

what about a tb of a 88 dohc integra?

 

tb's for D16Z6's are pretty cheap to pick up...why not one of those?

 

that is what i am going for but the reason for this thread is because i can get those other tb's for super cheap if not free from my friend.

Wrong. 94+ LS throttle bodies fit onto Z6 intake manifolds.

However, being that the throttle body you are asking about is obd-0, the mounting points may be different.

If you can get the throttle bodies for free... why not just try it out and see if it works or not. Can't hurt if you paying like 5 bux for a throttle body.

This may or may not help you, but any 92-00 D series throttle body works on the Z6 Intake Manifold. Also, I'm pretty sure any 94-01 Integra B-series throttle body fits onto it as well. I know the LS's do, maybe the type-Rs and GSRs do as well.

Direct bolt on procedure. The Z6 manifold has larger ports I believe than the A6 Intake manifold. That shouldn't cause a problem. I do remember reading that the A6 head flows better than the Z6 head, so you will most likely not need to port anything.
