Just a quick question.. Are 2000+ Type Rs in Japan known as "00 Spec"? I remember hearing something about this a while ago... If they are wouldn't there be 00 Spec ITR badges for the JDM center console? I could have sworn I saw someone selling these, but am just wondering about them, since I want one!

Sounds good Mike.. Hey could I aquire one in the UK? My grandparents live over there for half the year, and I could ask them to see if they could get one.. Would a Honda dealership over there have them?

 

Dang...I wonder why the 98spec are so common then. Wasn't it 00+ that they finally started numbering the japanese ones?

 

Not that i know of, I asked Glen Sheppard AKA UK Spec B18C6 and he told me that they wont sell them without proof that you lost yours.

I had been told a while ago that you cant get the badges new with the stampings on it already(98specR; 00specR) that when you buy it from Honda Japan it comes blank, just like if we went to Acura and try to buy the badge it comes blank.

So if you want the stamping (98specR; 00specR) you will have to get it used off of an ITR.

I don't think that's correct... I think you can get 98 Spec ITR badges.. Mike and David and those guys sell them...
