my boy needs to replace his motor, what motor otions are there? what motor comes in aaccrod lx?

 

the accord has a number of ways to go about getting a new block

you could go with the f22a or the f22b, the f22b is the least amount of cash or you could go with the f23 all good for boost though

or you could go with the lude block the h22a not bad numbers out of that little dohc


you could also put a k24 in it , or a k20 i want a k24 with k20 head on it, but i am sure thats just me

dx: f23a5(non vtec)
ex se lx:f23a1 or f23a4ULEV

all six cylinder running the same vtec 3.0

 

hes not tryin to go FAST, only running what motor does a 98 lx come with stock, i need a motor that will bolt rite up a stock lx motor, he is only looking to spend 800 or less

 

So get a F23...should bolt up.

What happened to his engine? Can;t it be fixed?

Your son is lucky, F23's are very, very cheap

 

I just picked up a F23A1 off of ebay for 60 bucks. Shipping was actually more than the block
