HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 02 400 EX Exhaust Question. I have NO idea !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A friend of mine needs to buy a exhaust for a 2002 400 EX ATV. Whats popular and where can we find one???? X-mas present. I know nothing about ATV's
My brother had an HMF...very nice exhaust but loud with no silencer. Looks very nice with the coloured can.
go yosh, it sounds good and gives great power, thats what my g/fs brother has got. its easy to install.
do you want a full exhaust or just a slip on? a full exhaust can go up to around $500. they will also need to rejet the carb with any mods. a slip on is just the muffler part. doesnt really do too much for performance IMO, but it makes it louder. also you have to look at where he is riding, if trails you need to et somethign with a quite core so it wont be too loud. i would suggest a full HMF with a quite core, they will also help you on jetting suggestions. check ebay or atvriders.com in the classifieds for one a little cheaper.
full yosh, will be good for desert or track. and the all the expenses are well worth the cash your gonna spend for jetting and all that. go yosh.
yosh migth be a good pipe, but i never see any people at the track with them. if you want a track pipe order a curtis sparks, but it will not be trail/neighborhood friendly.
Another vote for Yoshimura. IMO they make some of the best 4 stroke exhaust although I've not had any experience with them on this particular atv. They are also loud as fawk. I have one on my bike and love it but it is way too loud. We tested it and you could literally hear it a mile away if I revved it up as our driveway is a mile long and I was at the end.
