Default Replaced axles, problem.

I put new axles in my friends 90 CRX Si with B16. I got 93 integra axles and theyre the same size as the ones I took out but when I go to take it for a test drive the passenger side wheel has so much resistance that I can barly move the car. It worked fine with the old axles except the CV's were going out you could hear them when you turned the wheel. Its the axle I know that becuase I can see its not the brakes or anything. The axle is all the way in on both sides. I makes a horrible CV grinding/fucked sound when you turn the wheels and try to go. Do you think this is just the CV joint or could it be the tranny? Im going to get another axles tomorrow and try it. But Im worry its the tranny.

how did you take the old axle out of the tranny?? if you used a screw driver than you should make sure that you dont pry on the rubber gromet that seals the axle into the tranny if you did and it broke and came off the dirt and **** can get into there. just a thought.

but if you got your axles from auto zone or something like that... count the splines on it and make sure they are exactly the same lengh becuase the 88-89 teg axles are about 1/4 of and inch longer than the 90-93 ones. sometimes they expletive uup and give you the wrong ones. that happoned to me.

I had this happen to me and look on the hub side of the axle and compare it to the ones you took out....when it happen to me the diameter of the mating surface was a lot bigger than the one I took out so it locks up on the hub....I think you got the wrong axle bud....it should be pretty obvious if you put it next to the one you just ook out

Called the previous owner, he didnt take the dust rings out when he did the swap. The car is not at my house so I cannot look to see but I didnt take them out so theyre probably still in there. Would that cause it to do what I was saying?
