Default b16a stroker???

I was thinking of getting a jdm b16a2 and putting in CTR cams and a stroker kit!

Toda 81.5mm bore with 87.2 stroke = 11.0:1 comp, 1.54 RS ratio and 1797cc

or

Crower 84mm bore with 84.5 stroke = 11.0:1 comp 1.59 RS ratio and 1.87L

Has anyone on here done something similar?

The crank on a Honda is prolly 1 of the best parts in the engine. Replace it with a GS-R or Type-R crank and Bore it out. Buy new Rods and Pistons tho. If you dont wanna sleeve the block you could go like this 82mm x 87.2mm = 11.6:1 ??? That should be close to a 1.8

my friend races in the Hankook touring in Quebec Canada and he has a b16b knifed crank and b16b rods! I was told that the b16a2 bottom end wont take those parts???

I think you would be able to do that with aftermarket pistons. Not positive tho.

The b16b is a whole different animal from the b16a, It is a destroked 1.8, It has a whole different crank than any of the bseries motors have, It is possible to use this crank but aftermarket rods will need to be used. B16B internals can not go in the b16a, the pistons will come out of the bore.

ctr pistons are shitty... you might as well go for some after market pistons...

The bore and stroke are the same. The piston to deck height is different. Therefore you would need a piston to compensate for it.

Arias manufactures a reduced compression height piston that will allow this to work, but you need to rebush the rods to accept a .702 wrist pin. Crower can rebush them for you.

The B16B uses a P72 block just like the ITR and GSR motors. The B16A uses a PR3 block with a considerably shorter deck height. The Toda stroker kit is basically just an ITR rotating assembly with some Toda parts in the mix.

Are you sure about the stroke I know the bore is still 81mm but i think the stroke is different.

Its like a 1.8 block with a B16 crank. Different pistons. Rods? Compression is bumped up to 10.8 and has a more agressive cam. Revs like a B16.

The rods are the what is unique about the b16b. I got that confused with the crank.

Now if I was to leave the b16a2 bottom end alone, is it possible to get near 200whp

Head work?
Throttle body?
Inatke manifold?
Cams?
Injectors?
valvetrain?
Headers 4-2-1 vs 4-1? collector size?
Cat or test pipe?
Cat back size?

I have had bad experience with bottom end work on a b18b and I'm not sure I want to down there again!!!
