Default smog? for you all motor b18c1 people in cali?

I am starting to get my cash together to start my build pretty soon here. Before I start buying my parts, I wanted to know how everyone is doing smog wise? Do you pass with flying colors or do you get herassed? Should I just buy a 2nd block to build and keep my stock to swap in whenever I have to smog it? I might just be tripping, but when I built up my old 4runner they gave me **** when trying to smog it. (explitive smog reps !)

plans for build so far(any ideas are more then welcome!)
its a 94 obd1 b18c1 engine
O.S. jdm itr pistons
stock crank & rods
portflow the stock GSR head (or my use my PR3 head?)
supertech valves/springs/retainers
M22x or skunk2 pro 1's
cam gears
blox im
and hondata
comptech header
ice box

What do you guys think?

Californias system is corrupted, how else do we get our "gas polluters" to pass smog?

those are pretty big cams; i'm not sure how you'd fare. For some reason, on my last smog test, I didn't see a column for nox readings...maybe they eliminated it? ( i doubt it ) I would suggest keeping another set of smaller cams handy and another ecu map. not saying it couldnt be done, but it would likely be a hell of a lot easier with stock cams

Swapping the stock back in might be the easiest way. Or pay some guy off.

If you want the motor rev'ed all parts most be carb approved. Also you must run the usdm ecu for the gen of your car matching the motor so you would need some form of a p72 depending on what year, vehicle this motor is goin into. You also must run proper sensors and so forth. Its not hard but with your set up better luck finiding someone or swap your stock motor in when you need smog

Thanks for all the responses! I changed my mind on the cams. I think I am going to pick up the newer M22x or skunk2 pro 1 cams. The motor I want to build is in my 94 DB8 obd1.
