front LCA question..
Wow, what crazy suspension do you have? Never heard of any civic with a STUD in the front.
I'm guessing you mean the long radius arm that mounts to the front crossmember? If so, you need to toss the cast LCA up there, slide the chassis bolt in, and put 1 bolt in to secure the radius arm to the lca. MUCH easier than trying to use any sort of wrench to hold that bar.

woops, yes the lower ball joint. ok so the "stud" or w/e that u thread the nut onto, it spins when i try to tighten the nut, so therefore it wont tighten!
ive had about five lower ball joints do that i usualy just go to napa or somewhere and just buy a new lower ball joint its the easiest way to go plus you know you wont have to replace it again for a while
get a impact gun on it and spin the mo expletive out of it, eventually it will tighten down.
or beat the knuckle into the lower control arm a bit and try tightening it. aint no pussies over here partner.

yeah, using an impact gun helps a lot.
so does a new castle nut.
or rethreading your old castle nut.
did i mention your problem is most likely the castle nut? they get stretched and dinged when you use them and take them out, which causes the friction that grips the balljoint enough to spin it. or it could be you knackered the balljoint threads itself. those also could benefit from being rethreaded.

if that doesnt work, put a jack under the lower control arm, jack it up a bit, this will make the hub push down on the lower control arm, then you can tighten it, but make sure you have the nut on there correctly and its not stripped.
