new suspension what do you think
i have kyb gr2 suspension and my car is lowered and they ride like crap it is very bouncy you can feel every single thing. i have a b16a1 in my 88 crx and i was wondering if there are some inexpensive but decent suspension kits that will last if the car is lowered
Im assuming you have coilover sleeves or cut springs if the car is that bad,,??
Tein s-tech springs on the gr2 shocks (if they're not blown) would be nice,,You can get those springs on ebay ~$100..Decent drop, good handling, and rides pretty smooth..

i dont know what kind of springs i had i just bought the car and the guy has some sort of springs on it all i can say is that they are red and i dont know what you mean when you say coilover sleeves? ive heard that gr2 shocks get blown real easy if the car is lowered? which mine is alot
yeah those adjustable (not true coil over) springs suck, the blow every shock. youd proabably wanna start off with some shocks tokico blues are the best bang for you buck, i had progress springs on my 90 b16a ef, it stuck good
progress springs $80 all 4
tokico blue $240 all 4
i dont know what the prices are now, but tahst what i paid for mine

why do you call them "true" coilovers?
did honda make "false" coilovers?
greg, raise your car up with new springs. your ride will improve.

ZOINKS! Heh, I was thinking the same.
Its the fact that the only suspension travel you have is the half-inch of your cut bumpstops. Asside from extended tophats (mounts), shocks dropped in the front forks, or 88 accord front shocks, you'll blow any shock soon when you ride too low.
Take your rims off, get 2 sturdy 4x4 blocks of wood, set the cat gently onto them (hubs resting on wood), and look at how much travel you have left. I won't lie, that's not too safe, but you'll be less suprised if your car fell off than of how little travel you have left. I tested it by taking many measurements and doing the math.

I know the defintion of "coilover"..But between these two types of aftermarket lowering springs I refer to one as a sleeve and the other as a true coilover..I guess it may not be technically correct but everyone understands,

alright well thanks for the help guys i dont really know enough about suspension yet to make a decision, but i definatly want to raise my car alittle because its way to low right now but still want it to be pretty stiff, and i might space it out like half an inch or so
