Resource is down, so here's some pics :)
Ok, so the CRX Resource is down... i'm not sure why, and i'm not sure when it'll be back.. so until then, you guys get to feel the wrath of me being bored, and posting pics up of random things i'm working on, and other things going on here at the shop... if you know me from the Resource, you know i do this on occasion over there... i may start doing it here to (or 'instead', if the Resource never comes back online
)
So here is the newest project at the shop:

Yes, Project Turtle is getting some new toys... most significantly, a turbocharged K-Series motor. And yes, it is actually going to see the light of day, and run! Thanks to the new rules in the Pro 4 Cylinder class in NDRA, the car has a place it can race
Thanks NDRA!
Next up, since we have this neat CNC machine, we've been toying with a few ideas for products... this is one prototype.. the production pieces should be available shortly after the first of the year for purchase:

Ok, so its just an oil cap... lol. But, it can fit D, B, and K motors (most other caps don't fit K's, because the diameter needs to be different).
Anyway, there is of course lots more going on here (like 2 more k-swapped CRX's being done), but i'll save that for antoher thread/time
Oh, and if i hear anything about the CRX Resource coming back online or anything, i'll make a post about it

The machine has been fired up for a while now... its just been making parts for other people to help pay for itself... and now i'm taking some time to make stuff for my shop

LoL... hey, at least i censored them... so how 'bout PlumbBob... can i call you that instead?
The plan at this moment is this: The 06 Civic All-Motor project is still in-play. I'm still building the chassis, but it will not be ready for the '06 season... it'd be nice, but the reality of it is that i just don't have the time to finish it before the races. I DO have time to finish the CRX (it was almost done anyway). So, i'm setting the CRX up for a K motor, and we'll beat the crap out of it, and do some decent development work with it in the process. In 2007, when the Civic is debuted, the idea is that this car uses the -exact- same moutning angle and components as the CIvic (axles are the only difference)... so, i'm going to use the CRX chassis as a development and test car for the all motor package, and leave the -reliable- setup in the Civic... that way i can test and tune and try all sorts of stuff without upsetting the main configuration (06 Civic).

Ouch! ... lol.. Hey, i've got some very time-consuming things going on... the last thing i have time for is my own stuff
For instance, fixing this:

PlumbBob: Unfortunately, yes... that is the piston out of the Deckplate B-Series motor that was originally going into Project Turtle. It had since been sold to a customer, and installed in his car. Ran -AWESOME- (588whp with 422 lb-ft torque at only 30psi on a t3-housing GT35R bb turbo)... but unfortunately something went wrong on the dyno while it was being tuned, and that happened.
CRXDrew: Like it, love it, or hate it... i've been with that site for well over 5 years, and will never totally leave it.... well, unless it never comes back.. lol. But i've also been here a while as well ya know

Well what happen to that one then ? And what car was that in ?

Well, i won't go into exactly what happened since i'm still talking to people to get their opinions on it, so that i have a solid conclusion, but it was in this car:

Really nice car to. It'll be back though... this car absolutely screams. Its an 88 Si with the sunroof surgically removed.. hehe. Its got very little weight to it. We're putting the one-piece front end back on it when the rebuilt setup goes back into it... those fenders and hood were just done real fast to make it legal for T4 at the NDRA race in Rockingham

I've seen Fiats more reliable than the Resource.
If you complain about it, and are lucky enough to get a response, you'll basically be told you get what you pay for...
But cool CNC stuff, Comp...you gonna solicit ideas again or do you know what you're gonna do?

Nice camber plates on the turbo car.
Resource...meh, it's too bad. At one time it was the almighty, until the almighty started ruling with an iron fist.
I swear us rpr boys should do a 2G section.
Great job Composimo, as always. Driving Bryman's turbo 1G CRXwill forever be in my brain. You are the king.

g24jr: Nah, i like PlumbBob better... or maybe pBob
Cingham: Always man... always.. hehe.
speeddave: Yea, that CRX is really nice. As for other projects, check out the gallery section on my website. I'm still trying to fix some of the galleries, but most of them now work Click Here for Galleries
James: Hey man, whats up? Yea, long time no talk... you been doing alright? Yea, the MacPhereson setup is doing very well. It hasn't been down the track yet, but everything lines up, and the adjustability is spot-on. It'll work great
Davens: Hey homey! Well, at least when i was hosting it, it only had one hiccup.. lol. Its all good... it is steves ball, if he wants to tuck it under his arm, and run home, i guess thats his choice. I've been defending the site for a looooong time, and i am sorta getting sick of it... but its kinda hard to leave a place you've been with for so long. I may solicit some more ideas... i've gone through the list of ideas from past solicitations, and maybe found some stuff, but im always open to ideas if you have any. And of course, if i use the idea, the idea-generator who gave it to me first, gets one.. hehe.
Spork: No... its not.. its down.. lol.
Masta: Hey man.... yea, them camber plates rock!... although, i'm going to be re-doing them in steel. Thanks for the compliments on Brymans car... that was, without a doubt, the most difficult turbo installation i have done to date... but yea, the car is reeeaaaally fun to drive.. hehe.
