Default CBR 929 To 954 motor swap question

I have a CBR 929 and a wrecked 954 and want to know if the motors will interchange and if so will there have to any frame mods. I have the complete harness and motor from the 954 and want to know what I am in for.

Its not a direct swap but unless your motor is blown, why would you want to change it? My bone stock 929 w/ 12k dynoed 5whp less than an 03 954 with 2k on the clock and a pipe. I don't think a motor swap is worth it for that; 954 is just a bored out 929 motor anyways. Sell the 954 motor and go get a nice full akra and a pc3.

My '00 929RR runs way better than my '03 954RR. A 954 is just like the 929 but a little bigger. I don't think it's worth the time and effort.

The only thing you really need to do to the 954 is air filter, full exhaust and power commander you will definatly need a stabalizer after that. Did that to mine and it is a beast compared to stock. Yes I love the 929 as well comes up with the roll of the throttle that is what I learned to stunt on.

There are many aftermarket internal engine upgrades you can do to the CBR954RR. Here's a 900RR-929RR-954RR-1000RR parts heaven. Beware premium parts come at a premium price.
