Default Do I need alignment after installing shocks?

I am about to install KYB AGXs on a 97 civic. The car has been lowered for 3 years and the stock shocks have finally given out. In theory, you shouldn't need an alignment after installing shocks because it doesn't affect the height of the car. Am I wrong?

yes.. I would...
two reasons.. you are messing with front end suspensions... it may not go back exactly the same way..

your car may ride higher or lower with different shocks..
