Did Honda Make?
A friend of mine is looking to buy a 92-95 honda Civic Si. The other day he came across someone selling a 94 Coupe Si.. Now i thought Honda never made an Si in a coupe in 94, only in a hatch. I told him to call a honda dealer here in Canada and they told him yes it is an Si. When they checked the VIN it comes up as an Si. Now when i do a VIN check on the car it comes up as an EX.
So i guess my question is.. Am i missing something? Are the people at the dealer dealer's right or wrong? Someone educate me please.

beat me to it.
beat me to it.
I know that some years the Si in Canada was equivalent to the EX here in the US. Now what I am not sure of is if one of those years that this applies to was 94. Hopefully more will chime in if this applies to the year in question.
edit: wow i really got beat to it

well, since you're canadian....does your friend want the canadian Si (meaning, "just" an EX)? or is he looking for a US Si? if so, tell him quick to look for SiR or he will be disappointed

Well, the only differece is in the body style. The Si is a coupe/sedan and the SiR is a hatchback.

Thanks everyone for that educational info... I know he (friend) doesnt like the hatch and really wants a coupe style... I keep telling him to get a 99 or 00 Si, but he is dead set on 92-95 coupe style. But thats his decison not mine..
I guess i just wanted to know for myself the difference.. No one likes ignorance. Its really hard to give advice if you dont really know what your taking about.

i'm partial to the 92-95 style....but i might be biased because i have a 93 ex coupe.
I did go to the dark side and swap a b16 in and now i'm going to be boosting it with quite a large snail.
