ok so heres the situation. I dont have alot of money resulting I cant buy something like LS/VTEC or B series engine... I been checking for SOHC VTEC that are unexpensive and came out with the 1.6EL D16Y8 and the Accord EX-R F22B1. Most of my friends dont recommand me the F22B1, but I still think the F22B1 is really interesting.

I would like to have your suggestions, what should I pick between the D16Y8 and the F22B1.

the f22 into a crx isnt an easy swap, you would have to get or make a mount kit, also convert it to hydro trans. and im pretty sure the f22 runs on shifter cables just like the h22.... it will be a pretty costly swap prolly end up more then a b16 complete change over.... so i would either thow in the other d series or just wait and get a b series. Dont rush into things if u want a b save up money till u get the b if u want the d swap it in if u want to throw the f22 in there then do that its all up to you but never rush because you will always regret it down the road....

hmmm I see... Well I'm gonna inform myself about this, because I really think the F22B1 would be a great idea.

oh by the way, I dont have a CRX, I got a 1991 LX 4door

You dont have to convert to hydro and shift cables..You can make an adapter plate so you can use d-series cable tranny,b-series cable tranny,,etc..,

I wouldn't do it. It's a dead end motor, like a D series. Don't get me wrong, people go fast in them, but at what cost compared to a more available B or H. Save your money and by a good motor.
