I don't have a driver side airbag due to my aftermarket removeable steering wheel. I did that for security purposes.

it all depends on what type of accident you are in. In some cases the air bag will do more damage then it helps prevent...
I also had a detachable steering wheel...for security purposes
I want to input that it depends on how far you will go to protect ya investment...theres a sacrifice for everything...

yup for now until i get the eg6 steering wheel.... i was in an accident with a friend in his prelude and the airbags went off when they i think shouldnt have well... my arm and face got burnt it felt like someone was giving me an indian burn all the time it didnt feel good... expletive airbags.. the only thing i think about them is if you modify your cars safety and you get in an accident where something happens and airbags were needed insurance WILL not cover your car other than that im fine without them

while were on this topic, if you had racing seats and a nice harness setup, in the event of a crash, you shouldnt be going anywhere correct? the stock seatbelts have some slack, and i can see how an airbag would help in that situation.
