anyone else tired of the "rate my welds" threads?
not that i don't mind seeing a sexy bead, i'd just like more info with the pics that people provide. please in the future include the following:
1. welder used
2. settings like amps...
3. material welded and filler rod used
4. gas used
5. tungsten size and type used
6. gas lense used, back purged or not
7. any special techniques used
all this stuff would be better than just a pic of your weld i think as it might give others pointers and ideas where they can make changes to try different things with their own setups.

I think that putting up more info then just a pic is a good idea but one long thread would suck to have to search through to look at pics

i'm not saying i don't like them. it just seems most of them are posted with a pic of a nice looking weld and not much more information... i think it would be much more helpful to have some details on what settings were used... especially if it is a good weld! i guess the title of this thread was a little misleading... my bad.

I agree that more info would be good when showing the welds. This will only help everyone including welder and critic. I know I don't have anyone to go to besides H-T for opinions. But I feel that people just starting out really need to post their work to prevent any bad habbits from forming. My $.02
