Default ecu

i have an automatic 00 civic ex. i dont want to do a tranny swap but i want to put an obd1 into it. i need to know what i need exactly like which ecu and harness. thanx

just throw a p28 with a conversion harness,and if u want to squeeze a little more power from ur autobandwagon then get it chipped. itll cost ya about $200 for the p28,getting it chipped and the harness. but seriously go manual

what harness do i go with? i am doing this so i idle better and i dont have error codes.

Just look around for ecu harness diy stuff, and do it yourself. :-)

Which ecu are you gonna be looking for? Auto p28? d16y8 engine right?

If the p28 fits my car then yes. and yes it is a d16y8. but what harness do i need besides the diy?

my god why dont you just go mani? and if u want a chipped ecu go to http://www.phearable.net/ cost u $175 tops and the tranny,just go to a junk yard and get all the parts for 250 tops


bottom line just think $400= life is good

all u need is pedals, linkage, clutch lines, clutch slave cylinder, clutch, flywheel, clutch bolts, manual flywheel bolts, tranny and the manual tranny mounts (top mount, L bracket, and vibration mount) the swap is easy if you know what you are doing..
