Default Axel is TIGHT

Hey guys.
I am pulling my motor out from my ek civic.
its a gsr motor.
the problem i am having is that basically i took everything out.
from the linkage to the wires, lines, hoeses etc....
loosened the mounts but left the bolts still on
hooked it up to an engine hoist and everything.
but my problem is that the axel does not wanna come out of the spindle wheel bearing.
i used a punch and taped it in the middle
i bolted the nut back on a little and hit it with a hammer
nothing.

what can i do?
i already took off the castle nut for the top of the spindle
i already took of the fork bolt and nut
also the lower control arm nut and got the spindle basially being held up by the tie rod and brake lines but when i was trying to take off the axel i bolted all the nuts loosely so the spindle wouldnt be moving around.

i checked the how-to's when i did a search and all its saying is to tap the axel lightly but that didnt work and i even used alot of force and that still didnt work.

need help asap please.....

also would i be able to take the axel off from the engine instead without taking the outter part of the axel out of the spindle?
is there enough clearance?

I posted under hybrid aswell but didnt get any replies so i posted it here to see if i can get more exposure from the civic guys.

No, there won't be enough clearance, but it may help if you take the axle out of the motor as well. Just try not to rip the boot. Depending on the year of the vehicle (which obviously yours could be anywhere from 9 to 5 years old), it may be a little harder to take out.

well the car has a swap in it from a gsr and it was installed about a year ago.
also i am thinking of just taking the whole spindle out of the car since i already got everything off and leave the calipers behind so the car doesnt spit brake fluid everywhere.
any thoughts on this??
