Default $10 bucks well spent

3 or 4 years ago i bought a 90 civic si... it had these ugly *** wheels on it with 195/60/15 and looked like it was ready to go off roading... i had a set of 91 crx si wheels sitting around and i put them on, and i threw these wheels in the back of the garage and forgot about them...

a year later my father moved to fla and took the wheels with him i never thought about them or missed them at all... 2 years later here i am in florida, buying a crx monday that has si wheels no the back and steelies on the front... i was lookin in the garage today and see these in the back collecting dust... went to the store and got some paint and clear coat...

taped off the polished lip on the wheels and got rid of the center caps

after paint

now tomorrow i will polish up the lips and throw a couple of more coats of clear on them... and get a good set of 195/50/15 (195/60/15 on there now )

when you repaint them I would try to do it somewhere warmer (if you can) it will come out a little smoother. Looks much better than before

Wow, you took a nice looking alloy wheel and made it look like a beat-up wheel from a spare tire...

Personally I would have left them the way they were and polished them up. But if you like it then whatever floats your boat.
