Default Quad 4 powered CRX (56K in for a wait)

Well my new CRX is finally here, and i took some craptacular pics of it too!!:

The 3 pedal auto :D :

87 CRX HF:

27mm Mugen Torsion bars
Tokico Illuminas all around
6 pt. autopower bolt-in cage
Quad 4 motor from a 91 Grand Am
Complete Grand Am wiring harness
Grand Am gauges and light switch
3 speed auto with Trans Star shift kit
Racing seat (unsure of brand) with expired harness
Battery relocated to back with custom box and kill switch
Straight pipe to cherry bomb exhaust
custom header
Interior gutted
Custom Strut bar with camber adjustment
Eibach springs in rear (to be replaced with GC coilovers)
ST rear sway bar

i think that's it...

Ask the thousands of people on here that do b-series swaps for less net HP @ the wheels. Not to mention those quad4 engines are dirt cheap and plentiful. I know there was more work involved for this setup but for originality.

Those Quad4 motors are pretty stout. I say you boost the **** out of that thing

well, the only work i put into it was parting out my old CRX to buy this one...so yeah.

A stock 1G Si only has 91hp at the crank...this one has 140WHP (180 crank), that's a pretty big jump.

It was a Grassroots motorsports challenge car (and ill take it again next year).

it'll be used mostly for autocross with a few time trials thrown in.

Im sure it'll make it down the drag strip a few times though

I remeber those quad 4 motors back in the day and they are very very strong high performance 4cyl that GM built in the 90's. Quad4's IMO where top of the food chain in 4cyl before the VTEC phenomenon.

my friend has a 90 grand am with the quad 4 and it has gone through a beating, he drives the **** out of it.

sits a little weird in the bay.

nice job for fabbing that in, but i have to say that i think the car itself is ugly

also, you can get a manual tranny for those i believe
