Default 850 Mile trip, 83k

Well, I'm going to be going on a 850 drive to Illinois from North Carolina here @ the end of December. My coupe is pushing 83k miles right now, I'm just curious as to what maintenance you guys think I should do before I drive to Illinois.

As long as you have performed regular maintenance, you should be fine, unless you are due for something. I drove through Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, and back up into Michigan without a problem a few years ago. I didn't have any problems. Just take care of the motor and stick to the routine mainenance.

tire pressure will directly affect gas mileage so make sure they're good, but dont put too much in if there is snow or slippery conditions. Ur car should be fine...mine has 230 000 miles and does Montreal Detroit 5 times a year without problems. Goood luck bro

Ummm.....I'll take the lighter car with front wheel drive on the ice. 4x4 would be nice if you get stuck or need to travel some very low speed, steep hills (read hills where you can't build any speed before hand, or steep driveways)
