Default Ipod Nano question...

Since i couldnt get an answer from some employees at best buy.. i figured i would ask you guys. I recently bought an Ipod nano a while ago, and im looking to use it in my car. I havent seen many accessories for it yet.. so im wondering what i could do without resorting to some FM trasmitter. I have an Alpine CDA-9825 headunit. thanks guys.

Not positive, but I believe that unit was "iPod ready" add the Alpine KCA-420i and you are good to go, at the very least you can get the adpt. that plugs into the "changer port" and turns it into an AUX input. 94

you can use the kca420i with your nano, but the 420i is slow when it comes to accessing files and stuff. the display for the cda9825 is donkey looking, making it hard to navigate. the nano has the same contacts as all the other recent ipods and works with all the docks, soundsystems, etc.

an alternative is to use a kca121b for an aux input and get a cord that plugs in the bottom of your nano and has two male rca jacks on the end to put into the kca121b aux in adaptor. you can then get a cellular phone mount from http://www.panavise.com designed specifically for your car and get a ipod nano specific holder for it made by http://www.proclipusa.com. it will look hot and sit in a place where you can easily get to it and see the display.

make sure you get the connection that plugs into the bottom of your nano, as it will give you the best sound quality. it sounds like poop if you use a 1/8" headphone jack that plugs into your headphone out as it will sound distorted. the only downside of the later route is that it won't charge it.
