questions about making custom intake for 06 accord
Hey I have an 06 Accord Sedan V6, and I'm looking to install a new short ram intake for my car, but the new AEM and Weapon intakes out for my car are $250 too expensive. do you guys know of any guides out there that have step-by-step instructions to create a custom short ram intake?
i'm looking only to get better sound out of my engine (not any performance) since my engine is relatively quiet, even as a V6.
i will see post pictures of the engine later, but i believe the engine and components are virtually unchanged from 2005.

Agree with above. My wife wrecked the front of our 2001 and I just tossed the resonator since it was cracked and replaced the bumper. The car more than likely did not gain any power but it definitely has a nice throaty sound during acceleration.

i wouldn't be posting here if they were actually available on ebay. that's why i'm trying to make a custom intake with the k&n filter, of course. anybody know the step-by-step instructions and suggested materials to use?

Your actually going to do this. Just for the sound. Seriously. Honda has such a good reputation for reliability because there parts are better than the rest. And people want to change them. I just don't get it.

its a freakin intake man... its not like he's swapping engines or anything so there's no need to stress the ole brain out on why somebody would want to do that. if he wants to do it for sound, fine. i did it for sound too.

Actually, those numbers are just the quoted numbers from Honda. And I have to tell you that the 06 definitely feels more than 4 horsepower stronger than the 03-05. New standards killed most Honda power ratings but the Accord gained four? I think it actually gained more than that due to the intake and exhaust tuning but the new standards set the number a little lower.
