How can you tell what gen is it?

usdms say b16a2

jdm says just b16a, but you can tell by the serial number.

same block though

date should be stamped in the upper right front(the side the cam gears are on) i believe

I forgot to mention it' a bare block, so all i get to see is b16A and some #'s below that.

well i've tried to sell it and people always ask me what gen is it... what am i suposed to say then?
