am i crazy?
I really am thinking about getting rid of my 04 civic and getting a CRX. The payments aren't a problem, it's just that I have really gotten into small & lightweight cars. This would be my daily driver and I am probably going with a ZC swap, a decent spring/shock combo and some chassis reinforcement. The 04 really isn't moddable and I want a fun little car that I can play with. My only real concern is reliability and MPG. Any comments (especially about the MPG part)?I am also considering cheap 6th gen hatches (mainly because of the airbags). Sorry for all of the questions. I'm just curious.
MPG are deff not gona be a problem, reliability depends on what you wanna do with it... if you wanna leave a stock motor in it they are very reliable.. if you wanna swap and keep it n/a it wiss still be reliable assuming you have the engine swap done correctly and not half rigged... turbo setups tend to not be so reliable expecialy when they are not tuned and on stock internals...
p.s. i think zc's are junk just my 2 cents...expecialy the dohc

yes you will still have good mpg, and i have a b16 crx as my daily driver, it is very reliable as long as you do it right, and if you can afford those payments then i say just get a b16 for the crx, the zc gets old realy fast, and ull have more fun with the b-series
why all of the negative comments on the ZC? (I'm new to older honda engines). I have a D17 in my 7th gen and it really is fine power wise. I am not planning on doing anything to the car as far as power. I want a lightweight daily driver with a great suspension and good economy (I'm getting 35+mpg right now)
Get a crx hf, 50+ mpg easy. Before my cat died I was getting 40ish in my CRX DX (Auto too). And the sis get in the mid 30 if you don't beat on them. It may surpise you, but the older honda's are better on mpgs than the newer ones (excluding hybrids).
