Default quicker 60 foot = how much quicker at the end???

I have recently rebuilt a motor and have run a 13.9 @ 102 with a 2.28 60 foot.

I have some new tyres which will drop that 60 foot into the 1.9's or even high 1.8's

say I run a 1.90 - what can I roughy expect that .3 in 60 foot difference to equate to at the other end??? car making roughly 185 whp if that matters

depends on if you're spinning down the track. I would say .3 on the big end is safe. Anything more and I'd be speculating. I know with slicks I dropped my ET's from 13.2@118 to 12.2's@118 coming from 2.3 60's to 1.66's But I'm boosted so its completely different.

the old rule for every 1/10th off the 60' = 2/10ths at the other end is accurate. once down in the 11-12 second range though its 1/10th=1/10th.

i never realized that the time would decrease as 1/4mile time dropped.
last year i started out running 14.40s with 2.3 60fts and by the time i got new slicks i was getting 1.8 60fts @ 13.30....but no matter how many times i hit 1.7 60ft i only picked up a tenth(13.20et being my avg best) and 13.3xx being the avg on 1.8 60 fts.

This adds some more light to the end of the tunnel for me too..

14.40's trapping 100mph.. With a 2.4 60ft time.

With some slicks and suspention tuning and lots of practice i should beable to get deep into the 13's.

yeah I have run 13.7 on a previous setup with 2.05 60's, but at only 98mph so definatley more power on tap - just wandering how much of a diff it will make
