Default Pro-fab install problems.

so i finally got my pro-fab in.. But i'm having trouble installin it. I'm wondering can i use my stock radiator fan? i know have to get a slim a/c fan now. But does anyone have any pictures of their SMSP header installed or pro-fab header installed? and how long would i need to make the test pipe if it's a 2000 gsr. thx

ur just gonna have to go to a muffler shop to make the test pipe. how you gonna measure the angle of the flange ? never though of that one did ya .

as for the fan. slim fan is good but minimum of trimming of the fan shroud is needed with a stock fan. recommended to take out radiator adn slip it in and the bolt it back up .

Well in the picture above it looks like that pro fab header is pointing towards the ground too.

That's why custom headers are built for custom setups. In this case one size does not fit all.

mine is at a slant too, but it doesnt hang low. the flang is the only thing that scraps the ground so im happy with it.. had to get the exhaust cut custom to fit the header anyway. and a quick way to fix the rad fan issue is just get some industrial zipties and unscrew the fan and zip tie it back to the rad like an inch over to the pass side of the car.

Damn! Wouldnt that become a problem after the header heats up. Looks like it would melt the rest of the plastic, and could potentially cause a fire.

umm no.

its been like that for over a year now. even in 100degree weather we had in the summer. even at the track on honda day there was no problems. it was 96 degrees that day.

theres more room then it seems in the pic.

have to say tho the coating on these headers aint the best. had it for alittle over a year now and its rusting pretty bad.
