Anyone w/ a Stock GS-R and a G-Tech Pro?
Finally got my G-Tech Pro yesterday... This morning I had an opportunity to do a run (my workplace is out in the country, lots of straight, flat roads and no traffic) so I thought I would try the 1/4.
Only run, I recorded a 15.45 @ 94.9.
Car is bone stock, 'cept I'm running 195/50 as opposed to 195/55...
Does this sound right? Do I suck at driving? Any feedback is appreciated.
And yes, I know the G-Tech trap speed is not comparable to a track speed as the measurement method is different. However, the time should be very close (unit was level, road was flat, etc etc)

I don't know about the speed, but your time is about right. You can expect mid 15's on a totally stock GSR.
Of course some are faster, and some are slower.

Those g-tech things aren't that accurate. I have one and your supposed to do like 5 runs and then average them out. I ran my car on it when it was stock and ran an average of 15.2. Mine stopped working about a month ago, so I have to send it out again. You have to be careful with them. Maybe that's why the redesign it.
From what I've read, the times as reported by the G-Tech, when done properly, are quite accurate. Car and Driver did a test when the product came out a few years ago, and reported that the G-Tech Pro was consistently within 0.02 sec of the trap time.
Averaging several runs is a standard measurement procedure that is simply part of any scientific method. By repeating measurements, you average out small variables that contribute to error. I don't think it's a reflection of inaccuracy of the device.

wow...94mph is a high trap for that time....work on ur launch. a 94mph trap is good for high 14's

My best time for my '00 GSR at the time with the stock tires, LSD, and CAI I mustered a 14.89 @ 99.7 with a gTECH.
Wish I could launch that hard at the track!

I ordered my G-Tech pro. I've heard many good things about it and many people say its pretty accurate. It gives you a good estiamte what your car will run at the track...
the only reason i'm skeptical is because i got a consistent 14.7@92 in my 97 gsr and i only have a short ram and a sport clutch. i kinda like it though!
