Default d16z6 to b16c1 is it do-able?

i just rolled my integra gsr on the way up the mountian to snowboard. still drivaeble but the roof is trashed. rather than pay to fix it i bought a 94 del sol. now the del sol is in mint condition but it only has a d16 in it. is it possible to put the b18 and tranny from my 96 integra into it? if so will i need to replace the wiring harnes as well? and what if any mount adapters will i need? thanks i will be starting this project in a month , just wanna know what kinda work it will be .

You pretty much have everything you need MINUS the del sol shift linkage with the b16

Take everything from your integra and it will bolt right up in your delsol, including the wiring harness and engine mounts. You will however need del sol Vtec shift linkage because they are different than normal bseries. Either wiring harness will work, I'm not sure if the 94 del sol's are prewired for vtec, search on that one. Also the ecu will plug right in and finally the integra axles fit right too, pretty easy swap. good luck

Oh your goin from a z6 so you will not have to wire vtec just use the integra harness and she'll plug right in.

d16z6 is vtec.... so yes, he is 'prewired' for vtec.

EDIT:

ok one more question. where can i find the shift linkage and whats the rough cost. this is my first upgrade swap. i have only done eclipse before and i finally crossed over to a real car. but i am dumb as a box of brinks on doing a change over. . i know the z6 is a vtec. SOHC while the c1 is DOHC.so wireing should be fine as far as harness right? oh ya yousaid the axels should bolt up also. . . should i upgrade the rotors over to the larger ones aswell? and the integra LOOKS wider than the delsol.... wouldnt the axels be to wide? or am i being a retard again ?

As far as costs go, it varies. Just shop around.

now, as far as the guage cluster... is there a conversion i can do that will adjust the tach readings? or replace it with the appropriate gauge? i know the b18 doesnt even redline untill the d16 is tapped out . . .

You can find cluster swap writeups in the FAQ section at the top of this forum's 1st page. It isn't needed, however.

really not sure what i will do with the z6. either sell it or put it in a honda. i just bought it from a HUGE dealership and it passed all the inspections. so i know it still in great shape. but i think selling it would be the route to go .

when i do the swap i will also need to use the trany off my gsr correct? or will the current one on the Sol match up with the b16?

Yes. Use the GSR tranny and everything else you can use from the teggy.

You can keep the stock d16z6 tachometer. I managed to scare a few of my freinds going past the z6 7200 redline . The very limit of the z6 tach goes past 8500 a little... the b18 redlines at 8200. Unless you plan on going past 8200rpm, then the z6 tach will suffice.

His ecu from his Integra won't fit since it is obd2 from a 96 Integra and going into a 94 Del Sol. He could always buy a jumper harness.
