my b16 idles around 1500 rpm when i run it hard and then i would have to shut it off and start the car again it will idle regular but at normal driving the idle stays at 800. any ideas what could be causing this?

 

How long will it stay at 1500rpm? My d16z6 will stay a bit high after a hard run, but within a minute or two it will head back down to around 700-800rpm.

 

Guessing its cooling itself. Somehow?

 

it just stays high until i shut it off, i have left it for about 1-2 minutes and it still stays high.
