what offset do i need for this tire size: 215/45/16
these are falken azenis. i need wheels, but i think i need a 45mm offset. is that true? could i get away with 40mm? i want to get one of the rota wheel sets, but they are mostly 40mm. the kosei k1, is 43mm, i believe.
the falkens are for sale or trade for a 205/50/15. they are brand new. i am trying to get rid of the car, but my stock tires are bald.

Depends on the width of the wheels, and how much you're lowered. A 7" wide wheel with 215's at 40 offset would be close, but would probably work. 45 would be better, but they're harder to find. And for a wider wheel than 7", a higher offset is good.
Daemione,
I believe the wheel would be, 16"x7". I had the 215/45/16 side-by-side with my 205/50/15. The 215 is slightly taller, but the width appears the same. The 205 is a Falken also, but not the Azenis.
Oh, I am lowered with the Eibach Pro kit and KYB AGXs. The springs aren't the really low ones. Thanks for the input.
