Outside door handle broke off??

Default Outside door handle broke off??

Well i go to open my door to get in my '97 civic and the damn handle breaks off in my hand..has this happened to anyone else? Anyone know where to get the whole assembly besides honda?? Thanks!

local junk yard or maybe even ebay. should be a easy thing to fix

I agree with a local junk/salvage yard. You might even be able to find one in your color, rather than spend lots of money for a new one at the dealer.

You simply remove your door panel and roll up the window. Everything should be self explanatory. Once you remove the few bolts/nuts that hold the handle assembly in, it'll just come out. You'll need C-clip pliers (or some pliers and patience) to get the locking cylinder assembly out of the handle to put into the new one.
