then later i wanted the S2k Intake manifold, cam gears, vafc, with a chipped ecu.
is that 13's? after its tuned?

sure, with I/H/E and some cams tund correctly you should be up around 190, if lucky more.
A really aggressive cam might net you 20whp, but then you need springs/retainers, and at least some sort of fuel managment to control your idle.
With run of the mill cams, and your i/h/e like you mentioned, you might get 170-175whp if you're lucky.
A friend of mine has a JDM 1.8L GSR in a hatch and he put down 192 CHP all motor... He has Skunk 2 IM, I/H/E, ITR cams, underdrive pulley, and FPR and I think that's it... I'll have to do some more research to make sure that's it but I'm pretty sure that's all... However, the JDM motor does come stock with more flywheel horespower than US spec GSR motor...

JDM gsr motor? naw i think it's the same HP as the USDM...for GSRs at least...just higher compression 10.6:1 as opposed to 10:1 which does make a big diff

I have on a bone stock GSR bottom end and DPR headwork.
with finer tuning I'm majking like 192-193 WHP, but confirmed I'm making 188.5 WHP corrected on the dyno.

wow all you have to do to get 190whp is put in a itr crank, ctr pistons and a ctr head! man i wish i bought a gsr instead... (hope the sarcasm is noticed). im not talkin **** about any model all im sayin is that 190whp is a 40hp gain and its hard to do that with stock internals..... unless its turboed

I made 154 with i/h/e with my GSR hatchback. Those were DC headers, and broken (aka homemade shortram) AEM and 2.5" straightpipe with crap muffler. I believe you can make 189 and up, Just get that compression 11.1. Then mod it...see where you go and compare the charts to stock GSR bottom ends.

You won't hit 190whp, unless it is forced induction, without upgrading the internals, ie. cams & pistons.

Kenji on this board makes 204 in his ITR it is still 1.8 and N/A.It can be done and has been many times.Those of you that think FI is a must to make that # with 1800cc's are lost.

Actually, I only made 196 Hp and 130 lbs-ft on my ITR. Stock head and stock block. Mugen head gasket and all of the other normal NA mods. Nothing special.
204 Hp would be real nice though

I think the guy's original question was can 190whp be reached with all honda parts, including type R cams. I think this is possible, but you will need REALLY good headwork and tuning. Not probable, but possible, I think Ive seen this done before.
