Default code 1 oxygen content....how can it be fixed???

ok this is for my friend who just called me (so i havent seen the problem) but he has a d15z1 and he just swapped on a y8 intake manifold, right now the pcv, egr,iat (because he has to put on his intake), and evap are all unplugged.

he said he's getting a real bad and bouncy idle....and the ecu(not sure what type but it's the one that came stock with the car/motor) is throwing code 1 (primary o2/ oxygen content) i searched and all i came up with is bad o2 sensor....but he didnt have the code untill he changed the intake mani. so any ideas or help would be much appreciated

and if the code was related to oxygen, and all the sensors are from the IM, i would say the plugs have something to do with it
