Default Anyone know someone with this exhaust (R1)

I was thinking about getting this exhaust for my bike but would like to know if anyone has ever heard this. For some reason I really like it but dont want it to be insanly loud and do not want to lose any power. Btw exhaust is the MCM Mirage.

I don't know the guy with it actually but he has been up at bike night here in my town and it sounds pretty bad, loud, and he probably looses just a little bit of power if any.....a tap off the rev limiter will give a nice little backfire...but i'd still rock it.

Me too. It's a clean look and would save the legs of female passengers from getting roasted. Although the bike in the pic doesn't have any pass. footpegs

Sounds pretty bad? Meaning shitty or Bad ***. My yosh pipe lets a backfire out now and again. I am planning on getting a PC and a few other mods so I think I could make the power back.

Honestly, these bikes are so freaking quick...do we need to worry about losing a hp or two?

Anyway, I would think that exhaust would make as much power, or more, than a traditional can. Certainly not a lot less.

BTW your avatar is the best

Not according to their website. You could email them. You can also make them and I have the instructions for the R1 but not sure if it would work for the Suzuki.

The prices are listed on thier site under Catalog Price List at $249. Way to steep if you ask me. Im gonna wait till a used one comes along. They can be homemade for around $60 according to the R1 forums.

"GP style pipes", nice. I would be curious if there is any, even slight, power gain from it. Its obviously going to be louder.

Yea the nice thing about a 1000 is that it usually sounds good no matter what. According to their website it made a 3 horsepower gain. Obviously their not going to post it up if they made negative numbers. According to the R1 forums a guy had on a Acrapovic pipe, stacks and a filter and he made 143.38 hp. He switched the setup the same day to an MCM and made 145.27. I decided I am going to get one but its going to be winter here for awhile so Im gonna see if a used one comes around.

Damn. $250 for that pipe. The piping probably cost $20 from a muffler shop.
