Humming sound coming from intake manifold area...
Ok Im trying to pinpoint why my car wont start.I thought it may be the fuel pump, but it primes and the fuel rail makes a pressure sound when the key is in on position.
I took #4 spark plug out and put it in the plug wire and held it on to the valve cover and tried to crank the engine over and NO spark at all. After that theres a constant humming sound come near the intake manifold.(Not in the manifold)It stops once the key is removed from the igntion.
Is this something with the distributor?
BTW the rotor tip isnt burnt.
thanks

might have an electrical issue before the distributor, the humming could be a wire grounding out on the block or something along those lines, or maybe your grounds from the block to the frame have problems
