I bought a 1999 civic hx not to long ago. Its a 1.6L vtec-e, it says it takes 3.5 q to fill up and it does when i do a oil change . But after I take it for a drive and let the motor cool down, I check the oil dipstick and it shows that I have put to much in it. Whats the deal? Does this mean I have to put less oil in or is this normal?

 

i would just go by exactly what the owners manual says. thatd be the safest route.
