How much can you beat an already dead horse?
This subject has been covered numerous times, but never have I gotten a solid answer.
The final area that I need to cover is my suspension. I was bidding on an Ohlins suspension with 1500 miles on ebay and almost had it till the bastard that started the auction decided to use his "other" account to bring the price higher. Needless to say it went from $900 which I had won it at, all the way up to $1900 in the last ten minutes.
Guy is a member here too. Erik with FF Squad you suck.Had to get that off my chest.(Both his accounts were closed by ebay.
)
Anyway, I DO NOT track my car. With that in mind I want to simply lower the car without totally destroying the dynamics of the car. For an added safety measure I ordered the J's racing drive shaft spacers so there will be no problems. Does anybody have any thing that they can recommend? Should I just get some springs or should I go all out for a Mugen suspension that I will really never use to it's fullest capabilities?
My main concern is ride quality, and lowering the vehicle. I need some ideas...please.

keep the stock springs and get some Koni yellows.....
install them on their lowest perch setting, which will lower the car 1"...... and have at it......
this is the route i will probably be taking if i do not go full coilovers......
i autox the car about 6-8 time a year......and i am looking forward to some hpde's

Tein CS would probably be a good choice. Soft ride and you can lower it how ever much you want without messing up anything.
Also springs might also be a good idea. Just make sure if you plan on having the car for the long run, you might want to upgrade your struts as well.
Those drive shaft spacers you ordered are pretty much worthless unless you're slammed and racing. Since you dont want either of that, you dont need them.

yes, this is the best advice you'll get. Plug and play. Run the stock springs. Did you know relative to other sports cars under 3,000, the s2000 has pretty firm spring rates?

To be honest, I don't know too much about the S2000 except that parts are expensive and take a long time to reach you.
But seriously, I love the way the car drives as is, I just want it about an inch lower like stated above. I figured the drive shaft spacers would only help, granted I know I don't need em. Thought it might aid the longevity of my suspension.
People have told me to go with the Espelir springs, than there are others who STRONGLY advise that I do not change out my springs......
I'm lost.

if you're happy with the way the car is, keep the stock springs, you'll save money. the koni yellows are shelf dampers. They are not special order, they don't arrive by boat, nor do they require yen conversion. You can pick them up at tirerack if you wish. They're a good shock and last a long time.

I'm using the tein S-tech springs with my stock shocks, so far I like it very much. They lower the car about 1". however I want the car to go lower and stiffer and changing over to a tein flex set soon.
go with the koni's for your needs.......
