Default Should I pay this much for a Compustar alarm installed???

I'm located in Georgia. I was qouted $800 for the Compustar 2WSS-AS alarm installed. A little extra for the remote start on a manual. And $650 for the Compustar 2W900FM-AS. The guy sounded profesional and could answer all my questions. It comes with a lifetime warranty on the install and the alarm. If anyone knows a good company in Georgia that does installs Hit-me-up!

Am I getting ripped off or what???

Sounds about right as long as they wire the door locks and trunk/hatch trigger and it's all soldered connections and all unused wires are depined, [not cut] and you get all the unused wires install and owners guides.

Taking into account exchange, it is what we would charge. 94

Hey, first of all this dude is like the Ambassador OF Compustar. I see his messages all over pushin this crap. The only thing you are protecting by spending $800 for a basic "paging" system and a shoddy install is this dude's HUGE profit margin!

I'm North East, but we don't sell that sh*t up here.

So whats your prob with Compustar? Every and I mean EVERY major
player in the game no longer offers a remote start system for manual cars!!
So Compustar is meeting a need...why hate. I better than riggin' another system
to work..its basically an accident waiting to happen.

Happy Shopping</TD></TR></TABLE>LOL, First of all n00b I am an installer, I do not make a dime on Compustar, second, I do not have a Compustar in my car, I have an Alpine.

My assessment of any product/brand I "push" is based on How it stands up in actual use in cars, not only how it sounds or works, [performance] but on it's warranty return rate.

As for "shoddy install", why do you assume he would get a "shoddy install"?
You know nothing about the place he got the quote, and you sure as hell don't know anything about me.

We sell Compustar, Alpine, DEI, Audiovox, Auto start, and Polar start security and remote start products, and right now the only remote start units we carry that are for standard transmission cars are the Compustar, Auto start and Audiovox, and by far the Compustar outperforms the other two 10 times over, also anything else on the market.

If you think it's such "crap" what do you think is better, what "sh*t" do you sell "up there" 94
