good price for a tranny install?

Me too, about $200
My warranty is basically none, because I didn't do anything with the tranny so why would I warranty something like that, its basically your own risk If I don't go thro it myself.
I charge anywhere from $40 and up to look at a trans, which normally includes new seals at the same time just for the sake of doing it while its on the bench.
Now as for the install work I did, yea that's warrantied.
