i have a 95 gsr motor w/110k miles on it. i have all the basic mods plus skunk2 intake manifold and a 68mm tb on it. well the problem is that about once a week or so i have to put a quart of oil in it. it doesnt smoke when im cruising around but it does it only when im flooring it at high rpms. basically when the vtec engages. i just bought sum rings for it but havent installed them yet cuz if theres something else wrong with it, then i want to replace it all at once. plz help me out here with any ideas on what it could be. thnx

 

run a leak-down test through a good shop. This is NOT a compression test. More than likely it's either the valve stem seals, valve guides or one of the 3 sets of piston rings.

leak-down test usually costs ~ $90 to $100 fyi
