Default ?? about transporting a christmas tree on the R.

The Integra is my only car and we(my family) want to get a real christmas tree. I have to go about twenty min to the other base to get a tree and the only way I can bring it back is the R. How should I do it? Use a normal blanket or what.

If you dont think I should, please tell me why.

Thanks

Call Nippon Express for pick up and drop off to your home.

I dont think they can come on base. Only that green truck with the fox, and the wife said he might not do trees

Put it on the R. Just put a blanket down or something to that affect. Also get pics as I'd like to see that.

Anyway, call Yamato moving company and ask them.
Explain that it is properly wrapped up to be pick up.
Last resort is if Tree is not longer then the R, maybe better to stick it inside hatch to front sit with hatch tie down like chezzy American way you see at HOME DEPOT!
You don't want to scratch up your roof for some lousy tree.

And get them to put in one of those nets that hold the branches close to the tree trunk.

You need a friend or neighbor with a pick up truck...or a minivan with a roof rack!

Down South (USA), you can't **** a complete circle without hitting 2-3 pick up trucks!

My philosophy = I don't really need a pick up truck as long as I have a friend with a pick up truck.

Hey...did you say "Base". Hell, borrow a HMMETT or HMVEE from the motorpool!

Good Luck and Merry Christmas!

Allan, I believe he's in the motherland. Dunno if you'll see many trucks there.

Definitely put the tree "in," not "on." Easier to vacuum up needles and clean off sap than to remove all the scratches from your roof.

wrap the tree up in a large blanket and tie it to the roof, there should be no tree exsposed to scratch the car.

I still don't like the idea of putting something potentially heavy and definitely scratchy on top of the car, especially given how fragile Honda paint and body panels are

i wouldn't use the roof for transporting, however, if its wrapped good enough, maybe you can take out passenger seat and transport that way.

Do the Japanese have Christmas trees as part of their custom or is it just a US Military thing to make you guys feel more close to home? Just curious about Japanese customs.
