my friend jus bought a 96 EK w/ a b16 and he wants more low end power. he already has an intake, headers and exhaust along with a new clutch. what else would increase low end power? he wants the car to be naturally aspirated so the drivability will still be stable. thanks guys for the help!

 

Swap in a ls block and go ls/vtec. Building a b16's bottom end is like building a n/a d-series.

 

torque in b16's is hard to come by, but they have good top end power, so exploit it's strengths. bump up compression, throw some good cams, port the head, and get a toda header...and rev rev rev

 

lowend power for b16s does not exist.

 

higher compression would help...

but a 1.8 or even 2.0 block is where it's at
