Fastest h22 you have heard of?
Well I am trying to figure out how much power and speeds I will be able to put out of a H22 motor, what are the biggest HP or fastest times u have seen out of one?
No, not the fastest, just wondering what the engine is capable of. I am planning on doing the swap, getting it turboed, and work on smaller stuff after that.

Fastest H22 is Stephan's old ProFWD car with a 8.12@186 not sure how much power we never put it on a dyno if I would have to guess somewhere in the neighborhood of 1000 maybe more.
Yeah they always advertized Steph's car at 650hp...ha ha. It was NOT 650hp.
The H22 is severely underrated and not used enough in Hot Rod.
Why is Jojo having so many problems with it?

Got one of those too.
Steph's motors were nothing special. I broke his last spare short block.
I'm sure you could estimate how much power he was making. Just off the shelf parts, methanol, and a Greddy T88. Rtype16 knows how much boost they were running, should be pretty easy to figure out how much hp he was making.

enough to go 186mph....thats a whole lot of power... ive seen lance's (old hp racing hatch) dyno sheet and it was over 950hp and 600trq on boost and C16.. no meth...and thats not including the gang load of spray he had on the car too
there was once a man from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. who once had a fully built H22 inside a yellow type R.. who crused around at 8psi of boost at 351 whp and 341 Ft/lbs?. somewhere along those lines
who then blew his motor because everything fucked up. =[

I've always said Hot Rod guys should be giving this motor a shot.
They can make the power they are making on the B with much less boost.

interesting thread. H22's do make power, alot of people like staying away from them. I allways hear the comment about not enough parts, or hard to find. I dont think its true. I think more people shouid be using these for drag. They create plenty of torque.
