6 channel amp
i just bought the infinity 5761a 6 chan amp and will be hooking up 4 speakers and either one or two subs...
all infinity ref speakers..
and prolly a kicker sub? would one or two be sufficent for the power that its goin to be pushing?
56x4
107 x2 all at 4ohms (if i bridged the last two chanels where the sub output is.. i could get more power to run one subs and it would probably sound better correct?0
another question? how many rca cables do i have to run? 2 pair or 3? it has a built in xover but ill be using it to push front and rear speakers and one or two subs..

Yes bridging the sub output will get you 287W into a 4 ohm load, your best bet for a sub/s would be a single (SVC) 4 ohm 250 to 300 watt sub or a single (DVC) 2 or 8 ohm VCs 250 to 300 watt sub, or two (SVC) 2 or 8 ohm 125 to 150 watt subs, or two (DVC) 4 ohm VCs 125 to 150 watt subs.
You can run 2 sets of RCAs and use internal input for the sub ch. or if your HU has sub outputs run a 3rd set, and switch to external input.

i was going to go witha a kicker 10 inch single cvr... in a sealed box..
dual 4 ohm.
would that be ok?? or should i go with 2ohm?
if not..would a
kicker or infinity sub be better overall?

What you need is a sub that is 4 ohms or DVC subs that can be wired to 4 ohms, [not a DVC 4 ohm it can be wired for 2 or 8 ohms not 4] the same goes for if you want to use 2 subs if it's 2 SVC subs they have to be 2 or 8 ohm, [2 SVC 4 ohm subs is the same as 1 DVC 4 ohm, they can't be wired to 4 ohms] and if you want 2 DVC subs, they will have to be 4 ohm.
The other thing to look at is "RMS power handling" you only have 287W.
The Infinity subs.....
REF1040W 250W 4ohm
REF1240W 300W 4ohm
REF1242W 300W DVC 2 or 8 ohm
will all work.
The Kickers that will work are......
2xC10 150W 2ohm
2xC12 150W 2ohm
CVR10 300W DVC 2ohm
S8L5 300W DVC 2ohm
Don't forget the kind of sub bass you get will largly depend on the type of box you use and the quality of the box

out of these subs which do you think i will most benefit from.(leaning toward the kickers)
The kickers come with a kicker box and they are heavy and solid made boxes. ported or sealed?
and the kicker cvr.. but they come in either dual 2 ohm or dual 4 ohm.. which one should i get?( one or two)
i can chose from 10 or 12 inch.. dual comp vr in a vented or sealed box.. or a single comp vr in a sealed box only.. or 10 or 12 inch dual comps in a vented or sealed box or a single 10 inch comp in a vented box. either 2 ohm or 4 ohm for all of them except the single 10 inch comp which is only 4ohm.
thankyou for ur help

ok thanks..
cuz i talked to an installer and he said they dont cancel out the engine noise as well
but i have never had a problem with engine noise unless the gains were turned up more then that have to be..
thanks again

kicker rca's suck, a bunch of guys at work ordered them when they got their kicker amps and subs etc. they just suck, no shielding and the "gold" rca connectors, were faded and dirty looking. they let in alternator whine like it was their job. I have monster cable, but we sell tsunami, I've had no prob with either. don't skimp on the RCA's, an investment here will go a long way toward sound quality
the kicker power wire is nice extremely flexible, you can tie it in a knot. I havent had any experience with thier rcas tho.
Comp VRs are nice subs, well built, affordable, and great sq for the $.

ok back to the question for the subs...
one 10 inch comp vr? dual voice coil. dual 2 or dual 4 ohm?
2 kicker comps 10 inch? single voice coil. 2ohm or 4 ohm?
i have about 287 watts if i bridge and i belive that would be 2 ohms correct?
what would be the better buy and wat ohm should i get.

If you go with the 10"vr, DVC use the 2ohm, so you can wire the VCs in series for a 4ohm load.
If you use the 2 10" comp, SVC use the 2ohm, so you can wire the 2 speakers in series for a 4ohm load
Your amp needs to see a 4ohm load when its bridged.

yes.. thankyou.. but im sayin.. what would be my best bet.. one comp vr which needs more power or 2 comps that have a lower peak
i dont want to under power the subs..
im actually ordering the stuff now so if u could let me know that would be great.
i think i might go wit the two 10 or 12 inch comps in kicker vented box. they have a 300 watt peak. when the vr peak is like 8 something.
4 ohm single voice coils comps instead of the 4 ohm dvc single vr..
