For all the Tranny Experts (A little help please)
I am rebuilding a tranny right now and i cant find out what countershaft and ring grear this orifianlly had in it. Heres a pic of the counter shaft, notice where usually theres a lip for the needle bearing theres not one
. It has a b16 quaife, and ive ordered almost every counter shaft for b16s out there and none of them match. The shaft is also a different diameter, its alittle smaller than a b16 countershaft (1.273-4 vs 1.294-5). Any help would be great guys. thx

count how many teeth total (even broken you can still count them) ... are there 14 or 15 ?
how many teeth on the ring gear (on the diff) ? 66 or 67
if its a jdm 4.79 shaft you may be in luck cause i have an extra new one layign around somewhere ...

It's the JDM 4.78, you can tell because of the way the grooves from the pinion gear continue up the shaft. They don't do that on the 4.40 and 4.26 stuff...
