Review from CompuStar 2wss-as alarm?
Not from eBay, Compustar has no online authorized dealers, so no manufacturer's warranty. Although IMO Compustar alarms, starters and alarm/starter combos are the best out there, it like any other automotive electronic unit, can have problems, and with no manufacturer's warranty you may just be out of luck and end up with a $250 defective piece of electronic junk.

I talked to this local shop and they had a **** load of compustar alarms get returned because of bad parts. when i say a **** load i mean 2 full boxes of alarms...id say prolly 20-30 alarms that customers returned cuz they were not happy with them.
but other than that i do not know anything about them!
just a lil 411 from my POV!
O and btw....before anyone rags on the company for possibly hooking them up wrong, well thats always a possibility, but they have 3 installers, and each one hooked some up on their days in the shop, and each alarm had the same problem with them! they sat there and explained to me what the customers complaints were and they were all very very similar to one another.

We are and have been a Compustar dealer for as long as they have been around, [along with DEI, Alpine, Audiovox and others] Compustar gives a life time warranty on all their alarms remote starts and alarm/remote start combos, if there is a problem with one, they replace it, and like any car audio/security product Compustar has had a few bugs, mostly in the early days and mostly remote related.
We have installed 100s of them and a few have been replaced, [over the counter exchange] then we just send the defective unit back to Compustar and the send us a new one, [the don't even try and fix them unless it's a discontinued model], so if your buddy is saying they have a couple boxes of defective ones that unhappy customers have returned because there is something wrong with them, one word, BULLSHIT
