ok i was running like 80-85 and the car wouldnt pick up and then it got real throaty like a v8 what would cause this? this morning after it warmed up the car was idling low by the way cat back 2 1/2 inch through a magnaflow on 89 hatch with d15

 

Does it almost sound like a wrx?If so,you may be running on 3 cylinders,,or misfiring at times..Change the spark plugs and see what happens..

 

i changed the plugs and tightened my throttle cable which helped but its still kinda loud im gonna tighten my exhaust flanges today

 

try checking your exhsust gasket!
