I wanted to know if you guys can help me out. I went out and purchased a wrecked type r and the interior is missing along with serveral other parts. What i wanted was the number on the limited edition plate that comes on the arm rest console. Is there a way i can find out by vin? Maby a registry that i can look it up on. i searched, and havent been able to come up with anything yet. Any help can is appreciated.

 

Unless you could track down the previous owner and IF he knows the number you are S.O.L. literally. As far as we all know, there is no way to figure out what production number you have. Sorry.

 

Thats what i tought. dealer said the same.

yep - this has been covered MANY times before...

 

Just go to the registry and pick a number that has been totalled beyond repair and use that one. Just dont use a stolen number.
